The process

The project's largest challenge has been to get the lectures, students and video expert, to combine their experiences and put them together into a feasible, realistic product, that is interesting for the students and have a quality that all project members can vouch for.

Questions the project team has used energy to deal with during the process are:

• How to use video to e.g. illustrate everything that is not being said?
• How can we use video rather than the blackboard, PowerPoints, or overheads to underpin the understanding of the discussed topics?
• How to shorten long and complex topics down to a video, lasting no longer than five minutes?
• How to ensure that the substance at the same time is correct, and communicated by student, in their terminology?

Project deliverables

The project deliverables will be five videos, addressing and illustrating different statistical questions.

 

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of December 2011. 

The videos will be available for all interested at University of Copenhagen and can be requested by email to project owner, Claus Thorn Ekstrøm , or the IT Learning Center .
