Status

All technical aspects of the project have been addressed, including all slide collections. Currently, efforts are done on the interactive part of the platform.

Three parallel entrances to the atlas are developed:

 

• By organ system (e.g. gastro-intestinal tract, airway, skin, uro-genital tract) 
• By animal species (e.g. dog, horse, poultry)
• By infectious agent (e.g. Salmonella, E. coli)

Project deliverables and perspectives

The main project deliverable is one comprehensive web-based photo atlas within the disciplines of veterinary microbiology, parasitology and pathology. For the future, working with the project has provided procedures and ideas for developing an international online course.
